“It’s not over till it’s over.” That sounds like something Yogi Berra said. And, if Yogi Berra didn’t say it, he should have said it because it sounds just like him. “It’s not over till it’s over.”
All too often we are ready prematurely to announce the end. We think it’s the end when really just turning the page. We think it’s the end when just ending a chapter and beginning a new one. We think it’s over when we finish the book. But there’s still another book to open.
We lose our job and we think our life has come to an end. The market crashes and we think it’s the end of the world. We lose a loved one and we think we can’t go on.
Think of how the disciples and followers of Jesus felt on Good Friday. It’s over. It’s finished. But it wasn’t. It’s not over till it’s over.
As a matter of fact we are here to say, “It’s not over till God says it’s over.” And God doesn’t give up on his creation.
Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ God tells us that he created life to be abundant and eternal.
Greetings in the
name of the Risen Christ,
